In this workshops I will gladly teach about the first basic knowledge under guidance.


  • Workshop “hand building”

If you want to start with pottery, then a workshop is the right thing for you.
At the first meeting you will have 3 hours to work on your desired project. I will explain and show you the different steps and techniques.
After it has dried and fired you will come to glaze it. Again, I will explain and help you with the different options.
Would you like to work with me after this workshop in the open studio, then it is for the normal entrance fee.

  • Open studio

After you have done a workshop with me, you are welcome to the open studio.
You can use all materials and tools. I am at your side to realize your ideas or you can be inspired by the things in the studio.

Duration 3 hrs.
Cost Fr. 50.– (excl. material)
Material costs Fr. 30.-per kg glazed and fired
Monday 13:30 clock – 17:00 clock or by arrangement

  • Course pottery wheel

Turning cannot be compared to hand building. It takes a lot of practice and patience.
In this class I show you every step from clay kneading to turning. You will have plenty of time and clay to practice.
I will help you again and again. On the last day of the course you can glaze your turned things.

Duration 6 x 3 hrs.

When I was reading books for ‘Seesaw Girl,’ I came across several references to the fact that in the 11th and 12th centuries, Korean pottery was considered the finest in the world. I liked that – the idea of a little tiny country being the best at something.
